 GTR37EFI vs Boss Drive 4400
Boss Drive 4400 vs GTR37 EFI? Pros and Cons. Trying to decide which to get for next season, Im either going with a GatorTail boat or a Prodigy 1760.

Re: GTR37EFI vs Boss Drive 4400
I got a Mud Buddy Sport H before the design was sold to Boss. I added a Mikuni Carb and a Q muffler, so it is fairly close to the Boss 4400. I have three seasons under my belt and I mostly like the motor now that I have some problems sorted out. I had a problem with the transmission fluid leaking and I had trouble for a while finding any mechanics that had experience working on my type of motor. I'd say the primary benefit of the GTR is that it is much more common than Boss and you'll find many more mechanics that are familiar with it. I run in salt water and have problems with electric system, but I have that sorted out now. I also had to replace the Mercury trim.
To be honest, I wish I had gotten a much simpler motor. If I had to do again, I probably would get a Go Devil with fewer things to go wrong.

Where I live, I'd take EFI over a carb with more power any day of the week.
