We took one apart the other day and there was an extra 2 nuts and bolts. Smaller than the main 4 and towards the front of the boat. Going through the same plate as the 4 though. If that makes sense. Other than that, yeah just wiggle it back and fourth and lift it. Shouldn't take too much to pop it off. We lifted off an 04 motor a few months back and didn't have any issues. I think you need a new tiller assembly too, in order to swap for the 32. Wouldn't swear to it, but I'm pretty sure.

Make sure you are removing the correct 4 bolts!!The long ones that goes from plate to plate!!Not the 4 on the engine!!Top Plate stays on until you remove the clutch!!Hope this helps!!

Brandnewengines.com 32 hp briggs. around 1800.00. I have one of the original 27hp PD's so from what i understand i should be able to use exsisting tiller handle.

Then remove large bolt in center of clutch in the crankshaft!Make 2 wedges and remove clutch evenly and you should be good!!Neverseize everything when you put it back together!!Good Luck!!

got motor off. first day off of work, working on clutch now. seems to be good so far. runnin late on the time frame for getting this thing done. work sucks. i need to start playing the lotto more often. ill let you know how it goes. as far as the motor im using, i think its a good deal. the upgrades will make it (carb kit and s/s exaust) will make it about a 35 i think. just blowin smoke probably, we'll see how the b?#$% runs.
