Ok I have a 1656 with 20" sides I'm running a mb sport lite 35hp
Just me at 220 lb I'm getting 25-26 mph with two of us one at 200 and 220 getting 24-25 with 4 people one At 340,220,200,210 got 21 mph these are all in deep water is that good or not the motor has a 32" shaft and bps exhaust that's it

I hear everybody I get 30 mph out of my rig tell me how and why for a factory motor

Most likley because people lie about how fast they go...

More times than not a stock rig dont go 30... do you have a mm hull, is it hooked, is your prop worn?

Its a 1656 slick bottom no hooks square chine and prop is 12" not 12.25 so it is worn a little

Some boat/motor combos just run better than others

Where are all your batteries/ gas tank?

Is there any uneven weight?

Every thing is gas tank and one batt in front one batt in back the transom was built per mb 17 degree at 19" tall so are the speeds ok do you think a carb would help

Did you turn ya hat around backwards?

PM gigafowl, he can give you tips on foot placement to go 1 mph faster.

May be a problem with your hull.. Your boat with only you should be running 29/30.

Does your boat feel as if it is runnning front heavy? (sucking)

No it's on plan it fills good so I don't know what it is

Check your engine rpm's. You should be running in excess of 3950 rpm's when in the water, trimmed right with only you.

Also check the bottom of your hull, make sure it is flat and no hooks. These 2 things are the biggest factors if your prop is in good shape.

I think your loaded speeds with a stock motor at 21 mph is doin pretty good for that short boat.

What would a carb do
