 Crankcase Leak
I have been really busy trapping right now and cant afford to stop and tear the motor down to fix this right now. I have a small oil leak on the crankcase. Is their any type of silicon or gasket sealer I can put on the outside to get me buy for a couple weeks.

 Re: Crankcase Leak
If it is just a small leak I would not worry about it. Just fix it when you have time.

 Re: Crankcase Leak
I just want somthing to even slow it down a little. I hate having a oil residue in the water where I'am trapping. It is a slow leak but I can see right where its coming from.

 Re: Crankcase Leak
Is there a heavy duty gasket people are using to replace the one we have, or just going with another one from Briggs?

 Re: Crankcase Leak
I got the leak to almost nothing but still want to replace the gasket, I ended up just snugging up 2 of the case bolts where it was leaking and it seemed to almost stop it. I see it a little yet so I will order a new gasket int he next couple weeks. Thanks

 Re: Crankcase Leak
Keep a close eye on it. My buddy did the same thing, only to find out his block was cracked & gettin worse. Hopefully that's not the case here tho.

 Re: Crankcase Leak
I looked at it pretty close and it is up on the right side of the crankcase I can see a piece of the gasket and i think it is torn. Hopefully thats all it is. I will know more when I get done trapping and tear it apart. Do you guys recommend that EVT gasket or just a stock one. .

 Re: Crankcase Leak
They usually leak by the serial number plate. Pretty typical.
