 Re: Gtr 35 mods ?
Right off the bat i'd do carb and exhaust and maybe port the heads and intake, BPS supports the carb and exhaust and as far as the heads getting done i would suggest contacting Dailey's hunt and fish (409)736-3999 and he can get you set up with the heads. As far as the carb and exhaust i would contact Gator-Tail directly and see what they have to offer. Hope this Helps. you can get ahold of BPS themselves or through MuddBuddy.com

 Re: Gtr 35 mods ?
What would add the most and be easy to bolt up? What would I run for the carb and exhaust?

 Re: Gtr 35 mods ?
I would suggest you get everything from one place, and that way it will all work together, and there will be nobody pissin about who did what wrong. There are alot of good sponsors on here, with alot of knowledge. Use them and they will hook you up. Everybody on here has an IDEA of what you need, but the dealers KNOW. You can't always choose a dealer based on feedback, as I have seen them get trashed for not sending a sticker. If they are not reputable, Tony B would have given them the boot!!! One more thing, If you are going to put mods on, you really need to know how to work on it. just my .02, or .03

 Re: Gtr 35 mods ?
^^^^This is true^^^^ Mods just depend on how far you want to go with your motor, i mean you can get stupid with it and loose your reliability but then again if you do little things here and there just build it till your satisfied, mods greatly help out in the load carrying department and you will gain some speed but mostly load carrying, I personally settled for ported intake and heads and carb and exhaust and i'm done i am more than happy with it and i kept my reliability

Question: If you buy a brand new 35 GTR with a Hoyt Stage 1, do you get any warranty? Simple question, not tryin to start a pissin match.

 Re: Gtr 35 mods ?
Install it yourself and save some money and spend it on somethin you can actually use! You can order heads, gaskets, and carb from BPS and then call Marshmellow and get you an exhaust.

 Re: Gtr 35 mods ?
Well, looks like it started a pissin match anyhow. The reason I was askin in the first place is simple. "If" you buy a motor from them & have Hoyt put a stage 1 on it & it comes with a warranty, then I would suggest going that route. On the other hand, "if" it doesn't come with a written warranty, then you'd be better off doin your own mods & savin the extra $$$. Plain & simple, you'd be payin for the warranty, not the labor. Just my honest opinion.
Terry, sorry it got your blood pressure up.

 Re: Gtr 35 mods ?
Camo I agree with you 100 percent I was just trying to say best bang for $$ is head work !! Look at it this way with heads a stock carb will let you turn 4350 or on some cases 4500 with gov still installed you spend 700 on carb and intake and have a rev box at 4350 so why spend the extra $$
