Post Replacing Z71 hub front bearing, power steering pump?
What is the difficulty rating for this as a DIY? I've seen the videos for this and it looks real easy to do.

Wheel bearing hub assembly is very simple. Have not done power steering pump yet.

Hub is easy. Power steering pump is not, a lot of sht to come off, and a lot of fun trying to get the threads started on the lines once you remove them, they are buried. I gotta replace mine soon, just did the pressure side hose, it sucked.

Change the hub bearing is east. Take the brake off. 36mm socket for the cv shaft. Then 3 bolts on the back side of the hub.

The power steering pump should be easy also

36 MM socket for the CV nut, and 15mm is the size for the 3 bolts holding the hub to the knuckle. You will also have to pull the brake caliper off aswell. About 1 hour per side.

PS pump isnt that big of a deal either. Undo the lines, and the bolts that hold the pump on. THe hardest part is threading the fittings back onto the steering gearbox. If you need more room, remove the 2 lower steering box bolts and Loosen the upper and rotate the box as you need. I am not certain but I think you will need a PS pulley puller to remove and re install the pulley onto the new pump. To remove the Serpentine belt put a 3/8" ratchet/ breaker bar in the square hole in the tensioner to releve tension and remove belt. Follow the diagram on the sticker that is on the plastic cowling above the radiator.
