Yea, I read some history about the; yes, been around a while. Didn't seem to catch on. Wonder why? Ever seen/shot one?

They are quiet even with magnum loads plus give added range and a tighter pattern.

I didn't read the link, but I know that for a period of time they were using sub sonic loads and were very quiet. I've never fired one. Don't they screw in like a choke tube?

Yes and yes, I think. They screw in like choke tubes. Have 60+ ports on the underside. Some seem to use subsonic rounds, but others maybe the ports and length result in subsonic. Either way, being subsonic is why they are quiet.

Does not give added range. The shot shell has burned all it's loaded powder at 24 inches after that more drag = slow shot

They were invented by a guy in Rochester,mn I believe so they could hunt geese inside city limits. I remember an outdoor show about these way back.

I guess you unscrew it, then put it on when you get to the blind! If I had one, I'd brush it up to look like a tree so it wouldn't look like a seven foot antenna sticking out of the blind Be a bitch to hunt timber!
