Post Non Resident LA Waterfowl license
Need a little help, I know i have to have a Fed stamp, and the LA HIP...but then on the website it has a NR small game/migratory bird 1 day license. So i would buy 2 of those for 2 days of hunting($29/day). Is that all I need? I tried to also buy the NR Duck, but it wouldn't let me. Then i read an older post on duckhuntingchat that said that all you need is that 1 day license. Pls help. Heading down to the Lafayette for Thankgiving!!

Yes, all you need as a nonresident to duck hunt an individual day or two is that $29/day license. Get one for each day you plan to hunt. That takes care of your basic hunting and duck stamp. Your federal stamp and HIP number are good anywhere you go. Make sure you have them.

If you plan on hunting a WMA, you need the WMA permit.

If you were born in LA, you can get the non resident Louisiana native licenses. This is what I use. You just need a certified birth certificate or card. 5 day basic hunting and 5 day duck stamp total up at $20.50. I basically have to buy one for every weekend I hunt. Season basic hunt and duck stamp are $175 combined. I don't think I will get 9 weekends of hunting in LA, this year....if I get more, GREAT! :D

This is strictly a Louisiana thing as far as I know. If you can show a certified birth certificate or certified birth certificate card showing that you were born in LA, you can purchase the 5 day licenses. They do not accept copies.

Looking at W&F website, now. You can only get the native licenses in person at a license vendor.
