Re: Gatortail 37 EFI losing power on plane That is cutting out abruptly so I'd guess there is an electrical issue or fuel pressure problem.

Re: Gatortail 37 EFI losing power on plane Yes it is. Was thinking fuel pump or fuel pump relay. So far I have done the following.
Motor losing power on plane between 2800-4200 rpm. Idles fine. So far have:
1. Hooked a new tank and fuel line with new gas
2. Changed both fuel filters
3. Bypassed kill switch
4. Checked battery connection
5. Changed air filter
6. Checked fire from both coils

Re: Gatortail 37 EFI losing power on plane Fixed. Bad connection on positive terminal of cylinoid above starter. Wiggle the wire and it would cause the engine to lose power. Replace connector and she runs like a top. Hoyt at GT said they replace both of those cheap ass connectors when they build them out.
