Post Pvt 308 cam - lifters?
I've heard several say to change the lifters out when installing a new cam. Of course I bought mine from an individual but he didn't send the lifters to me. Just got done reading that most cams come with new Briggs lifters. What should I do? Change out the lifters or use my old ones?

Pretty much no cams for these motors other than BPS or PVT are sold with new lifters. You can order new ones or resurface the one's you have.

Yea I guess I shoulda said .050, and I'm suppose to be getting different springs with the pink shims I believe, and why do you say don't waste my money? Probably be getting the same exact (look fine to me but what do I know) lifters I just took out? Btw anybody got any part numbers for the crankcase gasket and o rings? I found very little info on part #s while searching. I've got a 13 gtr. Thanks

New or resurfaced "Spinners" should be used. If you resurface make sure to retain the slight taper they have ground into them to keep it spinning so they do not dig into the camshaft lobe. New lifters are $20-25 last I recall ordering a set.
