Post Rpms
Just bought a rig guys. It has a 2010 36 prodrive on it. The tach on it went out and I ordered one this morning. Me and one other guy topped out at 22 mph in it. It's on a 17x48 x series. I'm really thinking I'm not getting the rpms I should be. Also, in gear when I idle, I have to feather the throttle to keep it from dying. It's just running at really low rpms. I don't want to mess with anything until the tach comes in, but after that how can I adjust the rpms? I'm running stock everything. I know this is probably blatantly obvious but this is my first sd. Thanks for any help

Could be a dirty carb or need a simple carb adjustment but good chance it needs a valve job or head gaskets as worse case scenario. This pic is your idle rpm screw. Shit pic i know. You might need to find someone to give it a checkup since you just got it

Once I get the tach out on I'll try to figure it out. If not I'll take it to prodrive. The guy had just gotten a 300 hour done on it from prodrive and it's at 360. New carb, etc. I checked compression when I bought it and I was running 130 psi out of both cyclinders.

Go find the post about bending the tab on the governor spring linkage, that solves the idle woes most of the time...
