Post lost a cylinderon 37efi
I lost a cylinder on a go devil 37efi and had to idle back to the boat ramp when I got home I did a pin out diagnostics and retrieved a code of p0336 which indicates a crankshaft position sensor noisy signal or no signal and no fuel to that dropped cylinder which from what I determined is it will not let the fuel injector open and send fuel to that piston I still have spark and my tiny tach reads out the rpm to the dead side which tells me there is no fuel present but would the crankshaft position sensor be bad? and how do I clear my codes out without the briggs code reader?

I'd double check valve train. Make sure your lash and rod/rockers are all squared away.

Soooooo, why haven't you brought it in for warranty work?

I'd check and make sure you haven't spit a pushrod. Mine has done it several times. Pretty easy fix on the water, but I'd take it in and let Briggs pay for it if you're having any issues while it's covered under their 3yr warranty period.

Crank it up, pull plug wires with it running to isolate the problem cylinder. Remove that valve cover. Repair....

Or just go ahead and pull both covers, because I'm sure the valve lash needs to be checked on the others. I'd be willing to bet you're missing a pushrod on one out of the 4 valves.

The crank position sensor is a common deal to be out of spec on the gap mine was from the factory. I wouldn't go chasing codes, start with simple visual stuff.

I'd bring it into a service center, just so they have record of it.
Hopefully no damage is done with it just being a push rod, but I don't know!

I personally would make the drive.
Or at least call around and see who works on them.
Up to you obviously.

.005 intake .007 exhaust. It might be .008 on exhaust but it wont matter, good job finding it, now patch it up and roll on

Valve lash is tge same on any briggs as far as how you set it. EFI doesn't change how valve lash is set.

Spec on carb motors is .004-.006, they loosened up the spec a little for the efi not that it matters

A good memorial day laugh  when you go to lock that nut down dont put all the pressure twisting on the rocker, you will break the aluminum tabs off. Support the rocker as you lock it down
