Just cause a exhaust gasket looks good doesn't mean it's dealing double them up and see if that helps I have to do that with my MM cause the flanges are a lil warped

it doesn't have baffles. it sounds like the noise is coming out one of the heads. I heard my evt and another evt without baffles side by side and can tell mine doesn't have the true sound

Maybe the weld to the flange is broke. The weld is on the inside.

this is 2nd exhaust that did that for me so I'm starting to think its something with the engine rather than the exhaust

Pull the cover & check the rockers & push rods. Might just need set valve lash.

Sorry, just reread, thought you said it was making knocking sound. Nevermind, probably a leaking slip flange.

Pull off your exhaust check the welds on the inside the flange of they are craked. Put it back on with double gaskets and see if it continues. Start checking stuff only way you gonna figure it out

sounds like just one side. there is no oil any where that shows a leak. the valves haven't been checked in a couple hundred hours

Pour just a little Auto Tranny fluid down the carb, itll smoke like a Mofo and you will be able to see any leaks.

Pressure up the cylinder like you are doing a leak down test and see if you have any leaks around the head gaskets just to eliminate that, check valve springs to make sure your didn't break one, that would jack with a valve and make the motor sound weird and run different, make sure all your valve train is still infully intact.

do you see any blackness arund the exhaust flanges like on the cylinder head, eliminate the exhaust gasket by changing them and putting 2 of them. Just some pointers, to help you along, casue trust me everyone on this page is gonna wanna know what it is lol

Right on Naggon, always chack valves from time to time, you can ruin a cam quick if one of them is out of wack and it don't take much
