The real question is what is its torque at 1500RPM's??? I don't see that gear reduction case lasting 5 minutes...

Lot of horses from a small engine. Will it hold up to the torture of digging your way out of almost dry mud holes every weekend?

Re: New 65hp stock power head for mm's
I do not foresee a profitable business if your margin on this will be ~8% BEFORE overhead.....if this is truly "revolutionary" and you had it patented, you could have the higher hp mud motor market cornered....=make more money....sounds like alot of trouble to not make you max potential.

Re: New 65hp stock power head for mm's
Seems like a more logical use of money rather than spending 6k of a lawnmower engine to get 15 more hp and dealing with cracked crank cases blocks ect ect. And pintail its bc its small enough to mount on a frame rather than have the back half of your boat taken up by an engine. It hangs off the back as they do now.

Re: New 65hp stock power head for mm's
If that is a 2 stroke motor there's no reason why it shouldn't rev to 5-6k rpm easily. Why they only turning 3k?

Good fucking god . Open Deans link. At 65 hp 6500 rpm, the engine consumes 6.8 gal/hr. You better have a big fuckin gas tank.

Re: New 65hp stock power head for mm's
Well, the meeting with the lawyer was heart breaking to say the least. It seems as if there is a midget in Utah who is already trying to steal my design. We have both sent off for patents. It is out of my hands now, just have to wait and see which one of us will get awarded the rights to the design. My lawyer also advised me not to release any more info about the design as to not further complicate matters.
